How Invisalign works

A digital scan maps your teeth, and a series of clear aligners is made to shift them a little at a time. You wear each set about one to two weeks, then move to the next.

What it treats

Clear aligners are well suited to mild and moderate crowding, gaps and spacing, and minor bite issues. A consultation confirms whether your case is a good candidate.

Removable and discreet

Aligners are clear and come out to eat, brush, and floss, so there are no food restrictions and hygiene stays easy. Most people will not notice you are wearing them.

For adults and teens

Invisalign is a popular choice for adults who want a subtle option and for teens with erupting teeth using Invisalign Teen. Candidacy is confirmed at the consultation.

Consultation first

Every case starts with an exam and a conversation about your goals, timeline, and whether clear aligners or an alternative is the better path. Complex orthodontic cases may be referred to a specialist.

Retention after treatment

When your teeth reach their final position, a retainer keeps them there. We review retention and long-term maintenance as part of your plan.

Common questions

Questions we hear often.

How long does Invisalign take?

Most cases run about 6 to 18 months depending on how much movement is needed. Simple cases can be shorter. Your treatment plan gives a specific estimate after the consultation.

Is Invisalign right for me?

Clear aligners work best for mild to moderate crowding, spacing, and minor bite issues. A consultation confirms whether you are a good candidate or whether another option fits better. Complex cases may be referred to an orthodontic specialist.

Do I have to wear the aligners all the time?

For best results, aligners are worn about 20 to 22 hours a day and removed only to eat, drink anything other than water, brush, and floss. Consistency is the biggest factor in staying on schedule.

Can teens get Invisalign?

Yes. Invisalign Teen is designed for younger patients with erupting teeth. Candidacy is confirmed at the consultation.

Do I need a referral for Invisalign?

No. You can book a consultation directly. If your case needs specialist orthodontic care, we will tell you and help coordinate it.
