Care covered.

Toothache and infection

Persistent tooth pain, sensitivity to hot or cold, or a swollen gum can signal decay, a cracked tooth, or infection. We diagnose the cause, relieve the pain, and plan the fix.

Broken or chipped tooth

A cracked, chipped, or broken tooth is repaired with bonding, a crown, or further treatment when needed. Save any pieces and bring them with you.

Knocked-out tooth

A knocked-out permanent tooth is a true emergency. Keep it moist in milk or in the cheek, avoid touching the root, and call immediately, because time matters for saving it.

Lost filling or crown

A lost filling or crown leaves the tooth exposed and often sharp or sensitive. We re-cement or replace it and protect the tooth.

Swelling or abscess

Facial swelling or a gum abscess needs prompt attention. We assess for infection and start treatment to bring it under control.

After-hours guidance

If you reach us after hours, follow the voicemail instructions. For severe swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, or facial trauma, go to the nearest emergency room first.

Common questions

Questions we hear often.

Do you see dental emergencies the same day?

Yes, we reserve same-day time for active patients whenever possible. Call (727) 531-4462 as early in the day as you can so we can fit you in and guide you until you arrive.

What should I do if my tooth gets knocked out?

Handle it by the crown, not the root, keep it moist in milk or in your cheek, and call us immediately. A permanent tooth has the best chance of being saved when it is treated quickly.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe or persistent tooth pain, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, or swelling. For trouble breathing or swallowing, or facial trauma, go to the nearest emergency room first.

Do you see emergencies for patients from Clearwater and Palm Harbor?
